Cribiù Giuseppe and Zaffaroni Regina, husband and wife in life, establish Crizaf in Gerenzano

Like many businesses that were born at that time, the self-employment begins with great sacrifice and a lot of confidence in the future. Processing is purely mechanical and for third parties: we produce pallet trucks and also work for Ferrovie Nord Milano.

Giuseppe and Regina's sons Oreste and Leonardo since childhood have been attracted to their parents' brisk business. So after their studies they work alongside their parents and staff in all company departments, highlighting two distinct but complementary aptitudes: Orestes, a visionary with strong business talent, Leonardo, a technician with strong organizational skills.

The first relocation of the business: from Saronno to Turate, in the province of Como. To cope with the growth of the business, a larger building is purchased and the entrepreneurial vision expands, opening up more and more to complex projects tailored to the needs of clients. Brothers Oreste and Leonardo become the pivot and engine of Crizaf and its unstoppable evolution.

This is the breakthrough year. The opportunity is offered by a friendly entrepreneur, Basilico, who operates in the plastic gifts and housewares sector and has the need to transport parts from the press to the next processing step. Thus was born the first Crizaf conveyor belt, which is still in operation at Cosmoplast in Turate.

The entrepreneurial spirit for years already pushes Crizaf beyond national borders, and thanks to the quality of the products, exports to France and Europe begin. At the same time, Crizaf participates in the Milan Trade Fair and other trade fairs: a visibility that contributes to brand awareness and consolidates its international presence.

Increasingly attentive to market developments and the needs of client companies, Crizaf researches and produces the first drum separator.

A new space in Gerenzano is purchased to house production and offices. The range of solutions expands: the first storage system, curiously named "Pater Noster," is built. Growth in the European market (Germany, France, England) and the distributor network is consolidated.

The second family generation joins the company. Elena Cribiù is in charge of administration and later takes on the (current) role of Human Resources manager.

A second production unit, with offices, is also acquired in Gerenzano. Meanwhile, Claudia Cribiù joins her sister in the administrative department, a role she continues to hold to this day.

Range expansion continues: Crizaf, first in the market, makes conveyor belts with anodized aluminum structure.

In order to follow customers closely, a branch office is opened in the United States, In Troy near Detroit. Branch to be followed, organized and managed directly by Oreste Cribiù.

Technological innovation is continuous. The first vertical storage system is designed.

New addition to the company. Luca Cribiù, with a keen innovative vision, manages and evolves technical functions while increasing their results and quality. He currently serves as Crizaf president.

New projects are developed: innovative weighing and storage systems for a wide variety of industries.

After the opening of the production site in the United States, they look to South America where arrangements are made for the subsequent opening of a production site in Brazil. In addition, production and offices are moved to the current site in Saronno, where large spaces are suitable to contain and support business development.

The Brazilian plant in the state of São Paulo is inaugurated. The range is enriched with the creation of conveyor belts with anodized aluminum belt: an innovation that will later lead to the creation of modular conveyor belts.

Engineering department and production never stop. Thanks to customer input, a line of conveyor belts with plastic modular belt is born.

Supporting the company’s growth, a new building was constructed adjacent to the Saronno headquarters.

Crizaf's expansion continues. A joint venture is finalized to open a new production site in India, in the city of Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat.

To better meet the current and future needs of the market, Crizaf launched a newly developed product line: the C series. A combination of cutting-edge innovation and technical solutions, three of which were internationally patented since they used a special belt made exclusively for Crizaf. In subsequent years, the internal corporate structure was reorganised, focusing on digitisation.

The ranges are being enriched with new products, increasingly modular and with customized functions.
